Survivors of Suicide (SOS): Community Care Sessions | Remembering Them – A Celebration of Life
The SOS (Survivors of Suicide): Community Care Sessions are a peer-led initiative developed through the CMHA-Calgary School of Peer Support, aimed at bringing together individuals who have struggled with suicide personally or have experienced suicide loss. Through compassionate conversation and storytelling, this six-part series offers an accountable, healing space for those impacted by suicide to gather, share, and grow together. * This session will not include the usual non-clinical education piece or sharing circle.
This final session will be a drop-in style gathering with various activities to participate in at your own pace, as well as one-to-one peer support available, if needed. Our hope is to create a space for our survivors to come together in a supportive and understanding community – with some food, drinks, and connection – to remember the lives of loved ones who we’ve lost to suicide and to celebrate their lives, and to celebrate the lives of those still fighting suicide.
