CMHA Calgary is located at 105, 1040 – 7 Ave SW. Our Welcome Centre provides individuals, family members and the community with conversations to tools and skills to learn about mental health and wellbeing. In addition, visitors are provided with information about supports and services available for those with a mental health or substance use concern. Staffed by our Peer Supporters, those individuals with personal or family experience of a mental health or substance use concern, our Welcome Centre is open to everyone.
Peer Support services can be accessed over the phone, face-to-face at the Welcome Centre, or through email. There is always a peer available to connect individually from Mon to Fri 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Tues & Wed from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm (excluding holidays).
We also have a Recovery College
At Recovery College, our educational-based approach focuses on helping people recognize and develop their own resourcefulness and awareness in order to support themselves or their loved one’s recovery journey. All of our courses are developed and delivered in partnership with our peer supporters who are experts by experience: they have their own story of a mental health or substance concern, or are supporting a loved one.
